Adnan Zainal Abidin
President & CEO
Adnan Zainal Abidin is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Pacific NorthWest LNG.
Adnan brings over thirty years of experience to PNW LNG, which included his role as Chief Executive Officer of Egypt LNG, and as Vice President, Global LNG Projects for PETRONAS. During his time as VP, Global LNG Projects, Adnan oversaw the development and construction of two floating LNG projects, the train 9 expansion at the PETRONAS LNG complex, PETRONAS interests at the Gladstone LNG project in Australia and the Pacific NorthWest LNG project.
Adnan holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Leeds, United Kingdom.
Wan Badrul Hisham
Chief Project Officer
Wan Badrul Hisham is the Chief Project Officer for Pacific NorthWest LNG.
Wan brings over thirty years of PETRONAS experience to PNW LNG, which has included his role as Head, LNG Projects for PETRONAS, Deputy CEO, Egyptian LNG and CEO, PETRONAS Ammonia Sdn Bhd. During his time as Head, LNG Projects, Wan was responsible for the development and implementation of all PETRONAS LNG projects including PETRONAS Floating LNG, Malaysia Train 9 and GLNG project in Curtis Island Australia. Prior to that , he has served in various capacities in the LNG business and Petrochemical business in PETRONAS, including as Director on the Board of its subsidiaries.
Wan holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Manchester, United Kingdom.
Vice-President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer
Afendy Ali is the Vice-President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer for Pacific NorthWest LNG.
Afendy has over 18 years of experience working on complex large scale projects related to oil and gas globally, including 12 years of experience with PETRONAS. Over the course of his career, Afendy has led various finance teams responsible for financing, reporting and investment decisions on several upstream projects.
Prior to joining Pacific NorthWest LNG, Afendy was the Head of Finance for PETRONAS investments in Egypt & Iraq. He holds a Bachelor degree in Accounting and Finance from Lancaster University, UK and is also an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (ICAEW).
Vice-President, External Affairs
Tessa Gill is Vice-President of External Affairs, for Pacific NorthWest LNG.
Before joining Pacific NorthWest LNG, Tessa previously served as Commercial Manager of a PETRONAS/BG joint venture LNG regasification terminal in Wales from 2009 to 2012. She has broad project management experience in manufacturing, electronics and horizontal directional drilling, from having worked in the UK, Germany, Thailand, Australia and Canada.
Tessa is a mechanical engineering graduate from the University of Glamorgan in Wales.
Manager, First Nations Engagement
Lindsay Jones is Manager of First Nations Engagement for Pacific NorthWest LNG. Prior to his current role, Lindsay served in a variety of senior leadership roles with the Province of BC. He has also held professional positions with nonprofit organizations focused on wetland habitat conservation.
During his 20 years with the Province, Lindsay resolved numerous land use issues working cooperatively with First Nations people. His work includes implementing recommendations of the Clayoquot Sound Scientific Panel, and the development of ecosystem-based management and strategic resource management plans for the Central Coast, North Coast and Haida Gwaii. Lindsay was also appointed by provincial Order in Council as an inaugural member of the Haida Gwaii Management Council.
He is a registered professional biologist and has served on the boards for the College of Applied Biology, the Association of Professional Biologists and the Land Conservancy of BC.
Lindsay holds a Bachelor of Science in biology from the University of Victoria.
Vice-President, Health, Safety, Security and Environment
Mike Lambert is Vice-President of Health, Safety, Security and Environment for Pacific NorthWest LNG.
Prior to assuming his current role in 2013, Mike served as Manager of Government and Regulatory affairs, LNG Development for Progress Energy Resources Corp.
He previously worked as Environment and Land Use Advisor at Encana. Mike held a number of roles in the British Columbia provincial government, including: Executive Director of Strategic Initiatives, Oil and Gas Division for the Ministry of Energy and Mines, Associate Deputy Minister of the BC Government, Chief Executive Officer of the Integrated Land Management Bureau, and Regional Executive Director at Land and Water BC Inc.
Vice-President, Human Resources and Corporate Services
Chris Reid is Vice-President of Human Resources and Corporate Services for Pacific NorthWest LNG.
Chris Reid is head of Human Resources and Corporate Services for Pacific NorthWest LNG. Prior to joining Pacific NorthWest LNG, Chris was head of human resources globally for the Mining & Minerals practice of Tetra Tech Inc., a large global consulting, engineering, and construction management firm. Prior to joining Tetra Tech, Chris worked for another large engineering consultancy, CH2M HILL, as well as in the public sector for a number of years.
Chris has nearly twenty years of global HR experience having worked on large scale multi-billion dollar EPC&M and DBs globally with Fortune 500 companies. His primary areas of focus have been on the set-up and development of broad HR programs and systems with particular emphasis on international HR, corporate development, mobility, organizational and leadership development and workforce & talent management globally in the resource sector.
He was born and raised in British Columbia and has had the privilege of working on projects and assignments across the globe. He attended university at UNBC in Prince George where he studied Political Science.
Vice-President, Legal and Corporate Secretary
Nailesh is Vice-President of Legal and Corporate Secretary of Pacific NorthWest LNG.
Prior to his current role, Nailesh was an executive at a PETRONAS subsidiary in London, before which he was General Counsel and Company Secretary of a leading United Kingdom financial services organization.
During his career he has advised a number of leading international institutions in the energy sector. He trained and qualified at international law firm Linklaters and then worked in the finance and energy sectors for a number of years with another major international law firm in London.
Although he has spent the majority of his career in London, Nailesh has also completed international assignments in Hong Kong and Washington DC.
Nailesh is a graduate of Oxford University and Nottingham Law School, and is a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England & Wales. He is a former theatre director and was also a finalist (individual nomination) at the British Legal Awards in 2009. In his spare time Nailesh enjoys time with his family, cricket, supporting the Liverpool Football Club and running.
Vice-President, LNG Plant Development
Abang Yusuf Abang Puteh is Vice-President of LNG Plant Development for Pacific NorthWest LNG.
Since joining PETRONAS in 1998, Abang Yusuf has served as a Technologist, Senior Manager of Operation, Head of Terminal Operation and Head of Malaysia LNG and Malaysia LNG DUA Operation.
He has also worked as Senior Process Engineer for the Shell regasification facility in Gujarat, India and has been involved with a major PETRONAS LNG project based in Japan and Europe.
Abang Yusuf is based in London, England and resides in Chiswick with his wife and four young daughters.
